Mr. Chantigny is from Gracefield and has lived all his life at Point Comfort. He studied at the Outaouais vocational training center. Upon graduation, he worked for a reputable company in Maniwaki, but he was already dreaming of starting his own business.
The birth of his son coincided with the retirement of his employer, Marc Vaillancourt. It was then that Mr. Chantigny decided to go into business. At the time of starting his family and business project, he was still working as a pipe fitter at the Hauts-Bois-de-l'Outaouais School Board (CSHBO).
Mr. Chantigny hired a former colleague, Hugues Lachapelle, to join him as a tinsmith. Together, the team has more than 15 years of plumbing experience and more than 30 years of tinsmithing experience.
To perform residential or commercial work, all workers must be carded and members of the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec (CMMTQ). All Plomberie Chantigny et Fils employees are in good standing and make sure to respect the building code, paying particular attention to details.
